We do not use any secret information gathering technologies, adware, spyware, malware or any other similar sneaky bullshit on any of our domain or subdomain sites.
Any information that you need to enter on our sites for access to the forums, etc., we treat as confidential and we do not have any secret mailing list that we sell to spammers. We don't pass out the information at the company picnic or send it off to secret government agencies checking for terrorists.
Such information is stored in a database on the servers, and therefore could be vulnerable to hacking attempts, but we've never had any such problems with the site's hosting provider in the past, and they seem to have good security precautions in effect.
We take precautions to see that malware does not wind up on our servers, so notify the webmaster immediately if you suspect that one of our sites contains an infected download file or if you have any other problems or concerns regarding the sites.
In order to post on the BBS Forums, users must REGISTER using a valid e-mail address. This is necessary to reduce spamming of the board. If the server's autoresponder e-mail message (used in the validation process) is bounced or kicked back by the mail server, we will delete the account without authorizing it for board access.
When registering, there are a few information fields which you might want to fill out with real information. The automated spambots and pornsite spammers usually fill these in with smartass comments or nonsense, and we delete any account that even looks like it might be a spammer.
If you use anything but a personal web site URL in the www field, we will more than likely delete the account.

We log the IP address of spammers, keep a list of the sites and domains they are spamming, and aggressively campaign the service providers to delete the accounts. At the time of this writing, we have had more than 40 site domain and 130+ ISP accounts closed for spamming domains/sites owned by the developer.
Guru Mountain Web Design allows advertising on our domain and subdomain sites for the purpose of offsetting development, bandwidth and hosting costs. However, we place limits on the amount and type of advertising, and the sites, products and services that we will advertise for.
We do not allow popup ads, animated banner ads or any other form of web advertising technologies that we feel detract from the viewing experience of our visitors. If you feel that this crap is necessary to sell your product or services, then you probably don't want to advertise with us.
In return for these restrictions, we offer advertising rates that are very low. We make no claims whatsoever as to the effectiveness of any advertising or to the amount of traffic any of the sites will get. Advertisers will have to use their own judgement regarding the cost effectiveness of advertising on our sites.
